Introduction

This EdTech initiative is a collaborative effort between Robusta and a large telecom company operating in Egypt. The initiative aims to provide accessible and affordable education opportunities for underprivileged communities in rural Egypt.

The Process

To achieve the initiative's goals, Robusta performed the following key activities: Ed-Tech Web Platform Development: Robusta developed a web platform tailored for underprivileged students in Egypt, providing them with a premium educational experience. User Analytics: Comprehensive user analytics were conducted to understand user behavior and optimize platform features and functionalities. Expansion of the Platform: The platform was expanded to cater to the entire educational system, involving teachers and parents to create a more comprehensive educational experience. Gamification: Gamification techniques, such as badges and levels, were implemented to boost user enrollment and engagement. On-Ground Activations: Localized on-ground activations were carried out to raise awareness and boost enrollment in underprivileged communities.

The Solution

Robusta undertook the development of an Ed-Tech Web Platform, which offers a comprehensive educational experience to K-12 underprivileged students in Egypt. This platform included school curricula, extracurricular content, special certifications, and innovative engagement strategies. The solution extended its reach to encompass the entire educational ecosystem, including teachers and parents, providing a holistic educational experience.

The Challenge

In rural Egypt, students face significant barriers to accessing quality education. The large telecom company recognized the need to address this issue. However, many underprivileged communities in Egypt had limited awareness of online education, lacked internet access, or couldn't afford it. In 2018, the large telecom company approached Robusta to develop a solution.

The Impact

Conclusion

The initiative has made quality education accessible to underprivileged students in rural Egypt through an affordable and premium experience. Incentivization strategies, user analytics, and on-ground activations have contributed to the initiative's success. With the potential to reach 5 million users, this initiative plays a significant role in expanding access to quality education for underprivileged communities.
