Takka: Egypt's First Sharia-Compliant Consumer Financing App

Takka was introduced by ADI Consumer Finance, the consumer finance arm of Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) Egypt, as Egypt's first Sharia-compliant consumer financing solution. Key challenges included streamlining a complex registration process, guiding users clearly during onboarding, providing seamless access to credit and transaction information, and maintaining engagement through notifications.

RTG implemented user-centric onboarding with clear instructions and progress indicators, custom credit limits tailored to each user, an intuitive homepage and profile for easy access to credit and transactions, and efficient transaction and installment tracking. A thorough user testing phase with seven target users informed iterative design improvements, ensuring the app was simple, reliable, and engaging.
